The following is a list of all updates and additions introduced in Guild Wars during the last week. The list includes preparation for the Bonus Mission Pack and start of the Halloween event.

During the last week end, the first non-test Legends of Norrath tournament has been played by thousands of US players. Many non US gamers also bought the 10 event passes (total price of 10$ + taxes) requested to participate, but when they submitted a request to join the event, they received a system message saying that for legal reasons the event was open only to US players.
Following many players complaints, SOE announced that any player who bought the 10 passes that couldn't use will receive a reimbursement.

From the Archlord game official website: "After a hugely successful initial launch, ArchLord’s feature film debut Ben X has now been sold to 25 countries. After its 'Business’ screenings in Rome on 19 and 20 October, the film will be presented at this year’s American Film Market (AFM), as well as at the inaugural edition of the EFP Oscar Screenings in New York on 12 November."

We are sorry to apprehend from the official EverQuest 2 forums that the people working in the SOE's San Diego offices are having an hard time. Our best wishes to them and to their families.

Female Gamer has two very interesting articles about the economy in Pirates of the Burning Sea. The first one is a general description of the system, which we understand consists mostly of a player run economy. The second article is an interview with the POTBS developer in charge of the in game economy.

The 2.3 patch for World of Warcraft has been released for testing on PTR. The patch includes also some changes to the Alterac Valley battleground, intended to make the combat experience more interesting and bring back the massive PvP fights.

Since when BioWare firstly announced that they were starting to work on a new MMORPG, many players but also people in the Game Industry started to speculate about it being a Star Wars game.
The latest of these speculations comes from financial analyst and it being taken into consideration also from the influential Gamasutra.

On the WWIIOL Battleground Europe official forums there was another interesting questions & answer session between the community and the developers.
